Izmir is one of the biggest and prettiest city of Turkey. This region is also a holiday paradise for local people as well. One of the most important and beautiful Roman Empire cities is Ephesus.

Ephesus is located in one hour distance from Izmir international airport. Ephesus is one of the UNESCO Heritage and it really deserves its tittle. Ruins of Artemis Temple which is considered as the third of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is in Ephesus. The House of the Virgin Mary is a Catholic shrine located on Mt. Koressos (Turkish: Bülbüldağı, “Mount Nightingale”) in the vicinity of Ephesus, 7 kilometers from Selçuk in Turkey. The ruins of the Basilica of St. John the Apostle is also in Selçuk town which is located on Ayasuluk Hill very close to the ancient city Ephesus.
